Visit the area's diverse boutique vineyards. The varying styles, terroir, and personalities are reflected in each bottle. You'll find them in the Linville Falls and Lake James communities plus in downtown Marion, stop by Keeper's Cut Meadery. It's one of a handful of North Carolina meaderies.
Marion's downtown tailgate market is a great place to shop for seasonal items, picnic goodies and is an ideal spot to pick up specialty items like homemade bread and baked treats. During the growing season, they are open on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, check for seasonal hours. Cheese lovers don't miss the English Farmstead Cheese Shop and stop by the Switzerland General Store to pick up specialty foods and goodies.
