As of 5:00 pm on Monday, April 27th, McDowell County Commissioners amended their State of Emergency order allowing all McDowell County lodging properties, including those in Marion, Old Fort, Nebo, and our Blue Ridge Parkway communities, to re-open. Of course, Governor Cooper's executive orders remain in effect. The traveling public is reminded to maintain social distancing protocols as outlined by the CDC and to follow all health and safety guidelines.
Many local restaurants continue to offer drive-thru, pick-up, and delivery service. Click the "Eat" icon to see a list of local options.
