2020 has forced us all to rethink our holiday plans. Why not begin your new holiday tradition in the Blue Ridge Mountains? This year promises to be as festive as always, and the stunning mountain views only get better once the leaves are down.
December weather is typically mild and sunny day temps average in the low 50s making it easy to enjoy hiking, waterfall, or biking trails. Lake James State Park, Mt. Mitchell State Park, Chimney Rock State Park, and South Mountains State Park are all open, following COVID-19 guidelines. Check out their website for current trail conditions. https://www.ncparks.gov/
Marion and Old Fort businesses are open and ready to safely welcome you. COVID-19 guidelines remain in place. Locally/regionally made items are available throughout our community. A few ideas include:
When shopping here, ask about the Merry Marion Monday give-away. Register and each Monday through December 21st, you may win prizes valued at more than $500.
The Arrowhead Gallery & Studios is also offering a drawing/give-away, ask about it, and on December 9th stop by Hillman Beer to save 50% on their retail merchandise!
As with all "things" 2020, holidays and important dates are remembered and honored differently. For the greater good, we have sacrificed and made adjustments creating affairs that are far more peaceful yet, still memorable. There are lots of other ideas and places to visit. Give us a call at 888-233-6111. We're here to help with your plans and answer questions.
