Tree leaves aren't the only stars of the fall season. Sunrises and sunsets are also brilliant. Local photographer and fly-fishing guide, Matt Evans with The Catawba Angler, shared this shot from a recent outing on Lake James.

Friday Fall Leaf Report - October 12th

Today certainly felt like fall, with temps in the 50s. At 1:30 pm, it was 58 degrees at Blue Ridge Parkway Milepost 323.  The views are tremendous, today is a crystal clear day with gorgeous blue skies.

Hurricane Michael is moving northeast, leaving western North Carolina and our Blue Ridge communities.
