Pioneer Day

10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Mountain Gateway Museum

Featuring Southern Appalachian crafters, live music, food trucks, inflatables, antique tools and equipment, special exhibits, and much more. Craft demonstrations will include blacksmithing, woodworking, quilting, crocheting, pottery, basket making, chair caning, spinning, weaving, dyeing, jewelry making and others. Many crafters also will have items for sale. A variety of food trucks will be available.

Also, from 10am to 4pm, Author Julia Nunnally Duncan will be selling and signing copies of her new books "When Time Was Suspended" and "All We Have Loved" along with her earlier books. Julia along with her husband, Steve, a woodcarver will be on the front porch of the Stepp cabin.

Admission is free.
